Ryton workers turn on Citroen
In a change of tactic, workers from the threatened Ryton plant in Coventry are turning their attention to a Citroën dealership in Rugby today (Friday 30 June).
It forms the latest in a string of protest actions by workers who will be demonstrating outside Murely Citroën.
A union spokesman said: “PSA Peugeot Citroën should remember that prior to building cars in the UK their market share here was minuscule. Without the hard work and effort of the workers at Ryton over many years, Citroën cars would still be as rare as hens’ teeth in the UK.”
