Ford would be wrong to sell Jaguar

Ford would be better off selling Volvo or its finance division than Jaguar and Land Rover, analysts have warned.

Adding Land Rover to sweeten the sale of Jaguar would do little to make the deal more attractive and would deny the car maker two premium marques, Trend Tracker said.

Ford should instead sell Volvo or its Ford Credit Finance arm before considering the sale of Jaguar. “For Ford to let Jaguar go now would be the beginning of the end for both brands,” said Trend Tracker analyst Michael Wynn-Williams.
