First Qashqai rolls off the production line

The first Qashqai rolled off the production line at Nissan’s plant in Sunderland Tuesday 5th December.

Around 130,000 units will be produced next year alongside the Note, Primera, Micra and C+C models.

Production will potentially increase to 400,000 units in 2007 – a new plant record. Nissan said the launch of the Qashqai marked one of the busiest periods in the plant’s 20-year history with three new models launched in the last 16 months.
