A local authority has given the green light to plans that will see the introduction of increased parking fees for the most polluting vehicles. Richmond council in south west London said vehicles with high carbon emissions would now incur three times the normal residential parking fee. According to the BBC, a further nine London councils are considering following Richmond’s move, including Kensington and Chelsea.
