VW to take control of Irish distribution
VOLKSWAGEN AG is to take control of the wholesale distribution of all of its brands in Ireland from 2008.
Motor Distributors Limited has distributed the Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda brands in Ireland since 1950 but the activities are now to be transferred to a new company named "Volkswagen Group Ireland in October 2008.
Volkswagen, Audi and Skoda business, and all 120 staff currently working for these brands, will transfer to this new company in July 2007.
