January LCV registrations show marginal increase
JANUARY registrations of LCVs in the UK totalled 21,698 units - a 1.2% increase on January 2005, the SMMT revealed this morning.
Truck registrations, however, show a 23.4% decrease in January, compared with 2005, at 2,945 units.
"Truck registration growth seen during 2005 and 2006 has returned to a more sustainable level, influenced by regulatory changes to truck mirrors and speed limiters, most recently in January," said Christopher Macgowan, SMMT chief executive.
