'That's yer lot' fleet company tells auctions
WITH A fleet of 15,000 vehicles, Zenith Vehicle Contracts is testing online disposal as an alternative to auctions.
It has teamed-up with Autoquake and has been selling an average of 50 test cars a month on e-Bay via Autoquake.
So far, the results have been encouraging with sale prices fetching 4% to 5% above what they would have been at a traditional auction.
"In the past, all our cars have gone either direct to auction or have been sold to dealers," said Zenith finance director, Mark Phillips. "But we have been looking for ways to get a share of the retail margin.
