SAAB Criticises Budget
Saab has criticised the government for not doing more to aid the development of biofuels in Wednesday’s (21 March) budget.
Nash: UK is falling behind Europe
UK managing director Jonathan Nash said he was disappointed the revised Vehicle Excise Duty ignored the contribution that biofuel-powered cars could make to reducing emissions.
“My fear is that the UK continues to fall behind other European countries where a more generous package of incentives is encouraging consumers to embrace this technology now,” said Nash.
Vehicles that run on bioethanol typically reduce CO2 emissions by 50-70 per cent.
