Director's theft forced sale of Co-op Motor Group

FORMER financial director of Ilkeston Co-op Motor Group, Martin Sale, has been jailed for four and a half years for stealing hundreds of thousands of pounds from the company.Sale (44) pleaded guilty at Nottingham Crown Court to stealing £577,398 from the company by writing Co-op cheques out for his own bills, conspiracy to steal £153,500 from Ilkeston Co-op Motor Group and taking part in corrupt mobile phone deals totalling £358,800.
The offences were committed between 1995 and 2001.
