Pendragon claims new car over supply
Pre-registrations have pushed up sales
Pendragon has claimed new car registrations rose in the first quarter of the year because of high numbers of pre-registrations despite waning demand from consumers.
Speaking at its annual general meeting last week, Sir Nigel Rudd, chairman of the UK's largest dealer group, said: “Moving into April there were a significant number of cars registered and not sold to a customer.”
