Staff recruitment is key says Vardy
Recruiting quality staff is essential for dealer profitability but finding and retaining them is tough, delegates at the inaugural Motor Trader Forum were told.
Held in Central London last week, the Forum, sponsored by BDO Stoy Hayward, brought together leading figures from dealer groups, finance houses, manufacturers and industry analysts to generate an overview of the industry in 2007.
According to Peter Vardy of the Vardy Group, high calibre employees were essential profit drivers.
“Everybody is looking for good people,” he said. “That’s the thing. There’s a lack of fantastic people.”
