Ford dealer salesman jailed
A SALESMAN at a Yorkshire Ford dealership has been jailed for 18-months for theft and false accounting.
During a 4-year period, Mohammed Ashraf (45) pocketed nearly £50,000 by hiding the true details of his sales at Otley Motors.
The offences were committed between 2000 to 2004. No customers had lost money but the company loss totalled £49,535.
The court heard that it was the third time he had breached the trust of employers.
He asked for 222 other offences to be considered.
He was also given a further two months consecutive jail for jumping bail.
