Lancia back to Britain with RHD Delta
ALFA ROMEO dealers in the UK could be selling Fiat's Lancia brand by the year 2009.
Probably around a third of Alfa's 60+ UK dealerships will be signed-up for the brand which was last sold in the UK 15-years ago.
The car to spearhead Lancia's UK return will be a right-hand drive version of the Delta, a hatch built on the platform of the Fiat Bravo which is being launched in the UK this month.
Steve Norman, Fiat Auto's worldwide marketing director showed some caution over the exact timing, saying the final decision has not yet been taken. "The Delta will be the perfect car to re-launch the brand in the UK," he said.
