Lookers crowned for best shareholder value
UK RETAILER, Lookers, has been crowned with the title of Best Shareholder Value in Europe.
The Manchester retailer won the Price Waterhouse Cooper's award amongst European retailers for its share performance over both 1-year and 3-year.
Over 1-year to the end of April, Lookers' shares produced a 49.4% return. In the past 3-year period, the return was 2923.3%.
In the 1-year time-frame, HR Owen was second ( 31.3%) and Inchcape was third (30.7%)
Pendragon, the only other UK retailer in the top 6, was 5th (2.7%)PWC said that Lookers' mix of new and used car sales and its range of aftermarket activities showed it could deliver strong earnings growth.
