Proton looks elsewhere after VW says no
VOLKSWAGEN HAS ended talks with Malaysia's Proton over a possible equity stake by the German car-maker.
Proton, which is 43% owned by state investment firm Khazanah Nasional Bhd, reported its fourth consecutive quarterly loss to the end of March. It recorded a net loss of 913,000 ringgit ($268,653) in its fiscal fourth quarter.
