Cambria thwarted in expansion bid
Cambria Automobiles, the acquisitive dealer group launched by Promethean Investments in 2006, has been thwarted in its attempts to establish itself as a top 50 retailer.
Mark Lavery, group chief executive, told Motor Trader in January the business was in negotiations with around a dozen businesses and was expecting acquisitions by the summer.
A year after acquiring Swindon Jaguar and the multi-franchise Swindon Motor Park, the group has failed to add any more dealerships to its portfolio.
