Carmakers prepare for surging green car demand
Automotive manufacturers must deliver greener vehicles if they are to cope with future demands from the lucrative fleet market, according to accountancy firm Deloitte.
Businesses with higher CO2 emission vehicles in their fleet face higher taxation costs in the future, which ultimately will lead to an increase in demand for lower emission vehicles.
Toyota Prius: Could become a fleet favourite
At present the average carbon output for a company car in the UK is around 170 – 180g/km.
