New car sales rise across Europe
New car sales across Europe increased by 5.6 per cent year-on-year in July to 1.31 million.
The healthy rise meant that over the first seven months of the year sales edged marginally ahead of the same period in 2006 to 9.68m.
According to Jato, of the big five markets France posted the most spectacular rise last month – up 21 per cent to 183,340 units.
