Driving smarter to save environment
Driving smarter to save environment - report gets RMIF approval 'It makes sense that the reduction of vehicle CO2 emissions goes hand-in hand with encouraging motorists to drive their cars in a way that helps the environment,' said Alec Murray, chairman of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMIF), commenting on a new report looking at carbon emissions and driver habits. The report, published today by the Commission for Integrated Transport (CfIT), the Government's transport advisor, suggests promoting eco-driving techniques, such as sensible acceleration and braking, and filling tyres to the correct pressure alongside an overall reduction in carbon emissions from vehicles.
