Mercedes ponders BMW link-up
Daimler chief executive Dieter Zetsche has paved the way for increasing the number of joint-projects, including engine production, between Mercedes and rival luxury car maker BMW.
"I would not exclude such cooperation, if it makes sense for both sides," Zetsche told German magazine Der Spiegel.
He pointed out that luxury sports car brand Porsche has successfully developed the Cayenne off-roader with a Volkswagen engine.
