Dealers fail to exploit POS material
Over 45 per cent of UK car dealers do not feel they take full advantage of point of sale material to drive up business.
This was despite 90 per cent of dealers claiming POS material helps sell used cars faster and more effectively.
POS material ranges from paper-based literature handed out or posted to customers to plasma screens displaying information in the dealerships themselves.
The research, conducted by used car marketing services provider 2nd Byte, also found that 85 per cent of dealers believed point of sale material was important to their business.
