Ford mulls over Jaguar and Land Rover bids

Ford is assessing preliminary offers from at least five bidders for Jaguar and Land Rover after yesterday’s deadline passed.
According to press reports, Tata Motors, along with private equity firms Cerberus, Terra Firma, One Equity Partners and TPG have all lodged bids for the luxury brands.

None of the offers are binding and speculation is mounting that the race to acquire the marques will quickly narrow to a two-horse race in the second round of bidding.
