Renault to takeover Ireland distribution

Import business now to be handled by manufacturer
Renault is to take over its Irish import business, Renault Ireland, from the start of November.
The brand intends to apply its new product plan, Renault Commitment 2009, to the Irish market where it now has a 220,000-strong car parc.

Bill Cullen, chairman of the Glencullen Group, reached an agreement with Renault to relinquish control of Glencullen Distributors, which had handled distribution in Ireland for 21 years.
