European sales rise
AN UPTURN in the major markets drove a 5.5 per cent rise in new car sales across Europe last month.
Acea, the European carmakers’ association, said an extra working day in October in the whole region compared to the same month in 2006 also contributed to the increase to 1.32 million units.
