Uninsured vehicle crack-down
Record numbers of uninsured vehicles are being seized and crushed, according to statistics released at the Association of British Insurers’ annual motor conference today.
Automatic plate recognition technology used by police has led to the seizure of over 100,000 uninsured vehicles so far this year.
This figure is up from 2006, when 78,000 uninsured drivers were caught.
