Audi boss calls for emissions review
Jeremy Hicks, director of Audi in the UK, has called for the European Commission’s emissions taxes to be based on fuel use rather than vehicle type.
He said a potential option was for motorists to be taxed “per passenger mile”.
“People should pay for what they emit rather than for what their car can potentially emit,” he said.
