Automotive industry to lead green revolution?
Analyst believes technological breakthroughs can aid other sectors
The automotive industry is placed to pioneer ground-breaking environmental technology that can be rolled-out to other business sectors, according to a leading industry analyst.
Giles Hundleby, Ricardo UK project director for clean energy, said cross-industry technologies and skills in design, engineering, development and testing in the sector could enable the rapid adoption of clean-tech solutions across all industries and sectors.
“The automotive industry has the engineering competence and consumer product design and integration skills to make a significant contribution to the green tech revolution,” he said.
