The September plate change will bring car buyers the perfect opportunity to splash out on a new set of wheels. However, TRACKER, the stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) expert, warns that while they may fit an alarm on their car, 57% of vehicles recovered by TRACKER in 2013 were stolen using the owner's keys, allowing thieves to turn off the alarm and other security features.
